I am looking for the relationship, if any, between the Arizona Governor Safford (for whom the town of Safford Ariz is named), and my grandfather Edward Safford, who was mayor of Santa Fe and ran for Governor of New Mexico. Ed senior died in Roosevelt Ariz in 1925, had a brother Jacob, and father Charles Valentine Safford. Wife Mary Brownlee Lenfestey (Lenfesty).
