Re: SAFFORDS in "John Hopkins from Cambridge, Massachusetts, 1634, and Some of His Descendants," by Timothy Hopkins

Greetings, Phyllis:

The Saffords in my line are listed in the above-referenced book, by
Timothy Hopkins.

I, too, am a direct descendant of ABIGAIL SAFFORD, and JONATHAN SCOTT.
I descend from their daughter, Anna Scott (b. July 27, 1776, Bennington, Vermont), who married Rudd HOPKINS (b. 5 AUG 1776, Bennington, VT;
died Pomona, Tennessee).

The following information* may not be complete; however, below please find the data that I have for Abigail Safford and Jonathan Scott.

Mother: ABIGAIL SAFFORD (b. 14 August 1739, Bennington, VT; and,
Father: JONATHAN SCOTT (b. 28 January 1737, Sunderland, Franklin,MA:

Children:

1) Lemuel Scott (b. 8 Nov 1764, Bennington, Vermont)
2) Salena Scott (b. 25 Dec 1765/1766, Bennington, VT)
3) Martin Scott (b. 22 Dec 1768, Bennington, VT)
4) Levi Scott (b. 17 Dec 1770, Bennington, VT)
5) Melatiah Scott (b. 24 Oct 1772, Bennington, VT)
6) Anna Scott (b. 27 Jul 1776, Bennington, VT)
7) Abigail Scott (b. 3 Sept 1779)
8) Ira Scott (b. Oct 1782, Bennington, VT).

I hope this informatin has been helpful to you.
If you know of additional information, and/or corrections, I would be very appreciative.

Take care, and
May God bless you and those you love...

Most sincerely,

Cathy PORTER-Maynard
