This Safford line began in Ipswich, Massachusetts. The first four generations resided in Ipswich. Rev. Moses Safford resided in Kittery, York County, Maine. Robert Gerrish Safford took the family to Wisconsin. Robert Henry Safford resided in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
