Dear Julie It was very nice of you to print what you have on the various Saffords. I have already saved the info. and will copy it later. I have found some errors on the various Joseph Saffords. Joseph Safford b 1705 married Anne Longbottom. Died Bennington, Vermont Joseph Safford b 1741 married Mercy Robinson. He died in Malone, New York in 1807. I believe he was visiting his children there when he died or else was looking for business opportunities there. He died insolvent. JOSEPH SAFFORD, B 1783 IN BENNINGNTON, VERMONT. HE MARRIED MARY, WIDOW OF RANSOM GLIDDEN OF NEW YORK. I CAN ONLY FIND INFORMATIION ON ONE SON BORN TO THEM. I CAN'T FIND OUT FOR SURE WHERE HE DIED BUT I DON'T THINK IT WAS IN MICHIGAN. HE IS FOUND ON AN 1850 CENSUS LIVING WITH HIS NEPHEW BENJAMIN BUTLER IN SHELDON, VERMONT. I HAVE FOUND SOME EVIDENCE THAT HE DIED IN QUEBEC IN 1861. I WILL TRY TO PURSUE THAT LATER. JOSEPH SAFFORD, B 1807 IN VERMONT, SOME RECORDS STATE BENNINGTON, BUT I CAN'T FIND EVIDENCE OF THAT. HE MARRIED BETSEY SODDY ON NOVEMBER 10, 1840. HE DIED IN DETROIT FEB 27, 1862. CHILDREN WERE: Sophia Cynthia born 1842 Lucinda born 1841 Horace b 1844 Stephen born 1845 Lucius born 1849 Lucy born 1849 Amasa born 1850 My ancestress was Lucy. She married George Oakley Sept 12, 1866 in Wayne County, Michigan. Thanks again Nancy Lee Notify Administrator about this message?
