I'm looking for any information about my g-grandfather, John Avery Safford. Supposedly, he lived in Polk PA (COunty or town, I don't know). My grandfather, one of John's children was born 1907 - Nathan Harrison Safford. John was an alcoholic, and gave his children up to family for adoption. He's the family outlaw, so I can't seem to get any of them to talk about John.
