Hi,
I may have some information that would help you in your search. About 35 years ago, my dad who is now passed away, recieved a call from someone who had a chest stored in her barn. It contained over 150 letters and notebooks researching the Safford family. All the research was done by Edward S Safford of the Boston area and his son Stanley. I have all the letters, pictures and books that were in the chest. Most all of the letters are dated 1914-21, and the original owner and his desendants never claimed any of the records. They are very through. It has been a while since I looked at them closely, but I do remember Stanley having a daughter Lois, and a wife Annie.
