Salazar is a weell known name coming from Navarra (Spain). The valley of Salazar is the Pirynees, near the actual frontier between Spain and France. Diego de Salazar was a well known genealogist who lived at the XVI and XVII Century in Spain. I can not tell you more just now as I am in a Cybercafe far from my notes.
