First, I would like to know the meaning of the name and its origin. Second, I have just started my search on the Salazar name which is the name of my 3rd great-grandmother. I do not have much information but here goes. Her name was Lorenza Viana y Salazar. She had to be born around the early 1800's. It was said that she was originally from Naguabo Puerto Rico but she did reside in Loiza and also Carolina. She was married to Eusebio Castro y Martinez. Their children were Gregorio and Gertrudis. Her father was Fransico Viana and mother was Micaela Salazar. I don't know any more info about her parents. Her brothers and sisters were Faustino, Maria, Juana and I believe there was an Ignacio. She was also married once to Fermin Carrasquillo who I think was originally was from Naguabo and their children were Francisco and Juana.
