I have a little information on Origins of Salazars in New MExico where I am from.

Tristan: Is that crest the real Salazar Crest?

What is its meaning? In your books where are the map locations of these names you have listed in book 1, 2, & 3?

In the eighteenth century according to origins of Hispanic names in New Mexico. Augustin De Salazar was a blind interpreter

His father was perhaps Bartolome De Salazar pre rebellion of Zuni and Moque. Augustin and his wife had 3 children two girls and a boy named Antonio.

Also in the same century son of Augustin Salazar Antonio D. Salazar married Maria De Torres in Santa Fe November 27, 1708. That is something I picked up from the reference library. In the 17th century, there is a Rodriguez De Salazar the name is Sebastian he was a captain of 44 years of age living in Santa Fe in 1626. They had come up from New Spain Seven years before his wife's name is Luis Diaz.

Also it mentions in the 17th century, Francisco De Salazar appears in the escorts of 1625. He might have been the General of NM, He was deeply involved with Governor's affair, he was beheaded.

There is a Bartolome De Salazar. There were no Salazar individuals in adult males in the list of refugees in 1680 and 1681, they above mentioned moved to somewhere but where unknown. Adults appeared in 1683 and after. There is also Ramirez De Salazar and shortened to Salazar.

Does this information have any links to your books Tristan???
