I am looking for any relatives in Santa Maria del Rio, Villa de Reyes, San Luis Potosi or Mexico My grandparents were Tomas Salazar and Felipa Torres. I believe Jesus Torres y Matiana Salazar married on October 18, 1873 were great grandparents but don't know whose parents they were since Torres and Salazar run on both sides of the family.

Their children were Florentino, born 17 october 1900, Asencion, born 15 August 1913, Juan, Maria Mariquita (Nabor)12jul1903-8apr94, Ascenion born 11August 1910,(there was two with the same name one of which was my father), Petra, Guadalupe, Jose Antonio 8jun1908, Jesus, and Refugia, Jose Ricardo, babtized Feb 10, 1899 Died on 28 april 1899,
Additional information:
I also have a note dated 1909 that says Jesus Salazar died, 11 jan 1909
I also have a letter dated feb 6,1923 from Valentin Salazar to Tomas Salazar, cousins, Valentins family was Anselma, Fina, Timotea, y Francisco.
Francisco worked for a funeral home in Santa Maria. I blieve the family now owns it.
Tomas had a compadre Calletano
Valentin also mentions a mama Luciana

Others mentioned;
Cesaria Garcia
German Torres teacher master brick layer, Juan Salazar both worked in Ranch Guguron
I also have an envelope with a return address from a store in Alice TX, Vicente Salazar, dated 1923. I have some information on Vicente, and Family in Kingsville, Alice, and Robstown TX. there is a Salazar school in Robstown and Alice. Vicente had a store in Alice, as well as Kingsville, ( The Building still stands with the Salazar name dated 1929. There was other stores in Bishop and Robstown.
My understanding is that they also communicated with family in the Texas Valley.
Tomas and Felipa, sons and daughters all moved to Laredo Texas sometime around 1910-1913 and lived on Washingtion St in Laredo Tx, and finally moving to Laffayette Ranch in N. Laredo behind the Smelter. on mines road. Mama Luciana is mentioned in a letter from Valentin to Cousin Tomas. Don't know the relation.
Any Relations.
