Hi Tristan!

I just discover this site and I'm happy to see how many Salazar are spread all over the world.

As far I can understand Italy is underrepresented in this forum and I believe to be the only "Italian" Salazar joining it.

I'm from Naples, city in which also exists a "piazza" entitled to my family, and I'm the only survivor from the "neapolitan" line of the family. Another Italian line exists in Reggio di Calabria.

Last year I was in Spain looking for my (our...?!?) origins and I found the original Castle near Bilbao. The name of the village is Musquiz. From there my ancients moved to Italy and Naples during the Spanish occupation in the Kingdom of Naples.

A lot of informations on Lope Garcia de Salazar are also provided in the Basque Enciclopedy.

I appreciate very much your work and I will be happy to contribute to your researches if I can...

Good luck!
