Hi Manuel, my father, Guadalupe, was born and raised in Laredo. He married Delfina Garza and they had three daughter. Me being the oldest. He owned the Texas Cleaners for many years. He was an only child and I know very little about his family. He was left an orphan by the age of five and he was raised by his aunt, Theodora and her husband (in Laredo). Theodora was one of Roque's (my grandfather) sisters. Grandpa also had a sister by the name of Petra. My grandmother Teresa Gomez was from Mx. Sabinas, Bustamante or Saltillo. My grandpa was killed in the Mx. revolution when my dad was two years old. My grandmother died three years later. I think my grandfather was buried in Mx.In the Laredo cemetery only two of my dad's aunts are buried there. It is real sad cause. I would like to find more but I do not know where to go. I have heard that dad had relatives in Monterrey but I don't even know their names. Everytime I go south I am always short on time. One of this days I am going and do some serious searching
My dad always use to tell us that the Salazars in Laredo were not related to us and that when he died that would be the last of the Salazars bloodline because he never had any boys.
My dad also had a uncle in Houston by the name of Juan. He had a daughter by the name of Chavela. Chavela married a man by the name of Chevo Almendarez and they had a daughter by the name of Angelita. She married and had three daughter.
