Dear Tristan,
My name is NaomiSalazar Maldonado, and I am researching my father's side of the family. So far, I have found the names Salazar, Tamez, Marroquin, and Ocanas being connected somehow. I have also found that all of these names ( not sure about OCanas, though) are very common in the Nuevo LEon area of nORthern Mex. I think through the help of a Tamez, I've found my great-great Grandparents, Juan Salazar, and Maria de Jesus Marroquin. The time frame is 1869. I don't know how to go back any further. My grandfather said that his grandfather was from Cuidad de Maiz, which is in Vera Cruz area of Mexico. My question is, how do I go about finding out anything else? Iam also curious about the books you have listed on this site about the Salazars. Your help as well as input on this subject would be greatly appreciated! Thank you and God bless you for your time.
