Naomi,

I'm from El Cercado, Nuevo Leon and have some family living in Allende. I lived there until the age of 10 and have lived in the Chicago land area ever since. My father's brother, Maria Jesus Almaguer Cavazos, lived in allende for many years. His wife's name was Berta but I don't know her maiden name. As soon as I get more info I'll post it.

I believe they had 6 kids which I remember visiting when I was very young. Everyone knew my uncle by the name of Chuma. He and his family owned a small store and were very skilled at adding color to black and white photographs (I'm sure there's a proper name for this skill, but I just don't know).

My Salazar connection is through my gg-grandmother Maria del Refugio Salazar Tames, parents Froylan Salazar and Ma. Ramona Tamez, m. 1831. Do you have any info on the above names in your data base.

I have the following names in my data base Almaguer, Marroquin, Cavazos, Saenz, Salazar, Tamez, Rodriguez.

Let me know if I can be of any help.

Jose
