Hi there. My family also come from the area. My Great-Great Grandfather was Juan Salazar who married Maria De Jesus Marroquin in 1869. They had several children, some of their names were Estevan, Lucia, Pedro, Antonio, Sixto, Melquiades, Petrita, and a couple of others I can't think of right now. MY great-grandfather was Pedro. They lived in Allende and General Teran, Nuevo LEon. some of the Salazars moved north to Texas and California, while some of them stayed in Mexico and settled in Monterrey. I hope this helps.
