Hello Beatriz,
i read your post and my heart goes out to you. my mother too was born out of wed lock to a man that lived around the edinburg area as well. his last name was arriaga.
but i did find him and some more family,so my story has somewhat of a happy ending.
but now back to you. I did find a Clemente salazar living in the edinburg area. his father was antonio salazar,his mother was Gumencinda aldo called macinda. they lived in the Hargill La Blanca area.
antonio and Gumencinda had several children. but they were all born somewhere in the northern Bexar county area. they did come to the valley to live,so i'm fairly sure that they are the same.
in 1940 their ages were: Clemente age 13, Pedro 11,Carmen 9, trinidad 6,candaladia or maybe Candelaria 4. antonio was age 38 and Gumecinda age 33.
I also found a Demetrio Solis age 43 living with an Ernesta Solis age 26 in 1930. children were Alfonso 10,Adel...age 8 ,sofia age 3 and a Beatriz age 2. they too lived in Edinburg City limits.
might this Ernsta be your granma E. Solis?
anyway, I hope this is of some help. if you live in the valley you might go to the court house in edinburg and look for marriage records for Clemente. they list them by grooms and by brides.
let me hear from you,
my email is sal2182000@yahoo.com.
