That's a good question Violet. William Sales(b.1790), Lucas Sales(b.1819), and Thomas Sales(b.1796) all were born in Tennessee; all three were in the same area in Indiana, but only Lucas and Thomas went to Iowa. Now the kicker.... William's son(also William), left Indiana at about the same time and, I believe, is my great, great grandfather. Lucas and Thomas located in Appanoose County and William located in Shelby County (death in Manteno abt 1874). There may be no connection but am going to keep checking it out.
