Female SALES m. JOHNSON or CONNER 1780-1800?
Posted by: Richard Conner (ID *****7805) Date: February 22, 2004 at 09:00:34

Willoughby Conner and Rachel Johnson Conner's first daughter was named Alice (Alcey) Sales Conner, born in 1817 in Hamilton Co. OH.
Given naming conventions of the time Sales may prove to be the unknown surname of one of two ancestors of Willoughby and Rachel.
Either Rachel's mother, who married Cornelius Johnson of New Jersey, either there or in SW Ohio where he ended up.
Or, Willoughby's mother who married Philip Conner probably in Virgina, possibly from North Carolina according to a vague cousin's family memory. She died in 1815 in either VA, OH or KY
Hoping that someone recognizes either a Sales, Conner or Sales, Johnson connection from the period given the above facts. Thanks.
