I am searching for any info on the Samuels. My husbands gg-grandfather was Marcus Samuels b 1815 IA according to 1850 & 1860 Adair Co., MO Census he lived there with wife Emily b 1820 IA and children born in MO
Edwin b 1843, Lafayette b 8/1847 Mineva b 1851. Lafayette mar Mary Ann Reynalds January 21, 1877 in Adair Co., MO. According in Lafayette's dau Faye, Lafayette was his middle name, she didn't remember his 1st as it was diffcult to pnounce & wasn't used.
