The FTDNA SANDIFER (and variant spellings) DNA Project has been growing. Some of the surnames represented by members are SANDIFER, SANDIFORD, SANDERFER, SANDERFORD, SANDEFUR, SANDOVER and others. Men who have had their Y-DNA tested live in various places in the United States, England and New Zealand. To learn more about their lineages and DNA results, go to the SANDIFER DNA Project website:

Previously unknown relationships have been learned, and some of the results have been surprising.

To learn more about the Project and/or how to join, contact one of the administrators by clicking on their e-mail address from the website, or you may use my e-mail address below. Some financial assistance for the cost of the DNA testing may be available for specific qualifying applicants.

Tarney (Sandifer) Smith
Co-administrator, SANDIFER DNA Project
