Everything points to Sandilands being the parent name of Sanderlin,Sandlin. I have done some minor research and emailed some Sandilands. A distinguished medical Dr. Sandilands died this time last year . When I lived in W.Africa numerous people asked if he was my father. He was a mission doctor of good reputation in Cameroon and other W. African countries for years. Apparently there was a physical resemblance. Ironically, he came to Salem, Oregon to finish out his years. I live 25 miles from Salem, and I work there. He was buried about a mile from where I used to live. I never met the man. How odd I thought that we never met, we lived near each other 10s of thousands of miles from home, and that we both ended up living in the same general area. Where are you located? There are Sandilands in Victoria BC that I email with time to time
