If you go to the soundex files Sanderlin Sandlin Sandilands are all are all listed as derived from Sandilands. Sandilands is listed as a 'sept' of the Clan Douglas of Scotland. Evidence would point to us as being listed as Scots-Irish.

While living in Ghana I was arrested for driving the wrong way down a one way street in Accra. The police Captain that sprung me the horrid offense informed me that the name was Swedish.
