SANDILANDS/SANDLIN/SANDERLIN

For everyone looking for their early Sanderlin roots, you will probably find that all these surnames are connected.

Sandilands is a very old Scottish name from the Midlothian and Linlithgow areas with evidence also in East and West Lothian areas.

The various spelling of the name also occurs in London, England over the last few centuries.

Don't try to restrict youself by the spelling when looking for a name. Often the name was written in registers as it sounded. The name then stuck.
