John Sanders, 1830 Census, Bedford Co., TN.

I am looking for information on a John Sanders listed on the 1830 Census for Bedford Co., TN (there is more than one). Living in his household was two males under the age of 20; one male btw. 40-50; and one male btw. 50-60.

Can anyone put names to these males? I am particularly interested in the one listed as between 40 and 50 years age. Assuming that John is between 50 & 60, his relationship to the other is not likely to be father and son. Is he a brother? Is John from NC?

This particular John is enumerated on the same page as Sterling Brown, who was the brother of my gr-gr-grandmother, Magdalene Brown (possibly Mary Magdalene). I believe her family may have lived in the vicinity of Unionville. She married Unknown Sanders sometime during the 1830's and moved to Hempstead Co., AR, where her husband very soon after either died or abandoned her. The only information I have on him is that he was born in NC.

I have been trying to establish a connection between my Brown and Sanders lines for many years, and this is the closest I have come. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Justin Sanders.
