Sanders (x3) of Hempstead Co., AR, 1840 Census.

The 1840 census for Hempstead Co., Arkansas shows three men named Sanders:

Elish(a), Mine Creek Twp.
John, Ozan Twp.
S.T. (Simon T.), Ozan Twp.

Does anyone know if these three men are related?

I know that Elisha was a native of NC, and removed to Hempstead in 1839 from Bedford Co., TN. Simon too, was born in NC. Did he also reside in Bedford TN prior to Hempstead? Does anyone know if this John is related to the two Jno. Sanders listed on the 1830 Bedford TN Census?

I'd really like to make contact with researchers of the Sanders lines that were in Bedford and Rutherford Counties, TN during the early 1800's; especially those family groups that settled there from NC. One of those settlers was my unknown gr-gr-grandfather who married Magdalene Brown, d/o Shadrack, in the 1830's, and then moved to Hempstead, AR, where my gr-grandfather George Washington Sanders was born in 1839.

Many thanks,
Justin Sanders
