I am looking for information on the siblings and parents of Robert Saunders/Sanders, b. abt. 1797, TN; d. 1855 Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co., TN.
Robert married Lucinda Floyd, probably during the early 1820's. The only children I know of so far are:
Thomas Lemuel, b. abt. 1824.
Robert, Jr., b. abt. 1835.
Joseph, b. abt. 1837.
Sarah P., b. abt. 1840.
On the 1850 Census Robert was enumerated in Trimble's District, Rutherford Co., TN under the name Saunders. He is listed next to the household of Lydia Saunders (36, TN) with seven children, and whom I believe may have been a widowed sister-in-law.
Listed on the same page is son Thomas Lemuel Sanders (26, TN), wife Margaret (Ralph, 26, TN) and daughter Mary (2, TN). This family moved to Arkansas about 1852-3. I have not been able to locate them on the 1860 census. They are found on the 1870 census in James Creek, Marion C., AR. with children:
Mary L, b. abt. 1849, TN.
Robert T., 1851, TN.
Joseph T., 1853, AR.
Sarah Jane, 1856, AR.
Samiel, 1860, AR.
Tennisee, 1863, AR.
James H., 1867, AR.
I'm especially interested to know if Robert had brothers in Rutherford Co., TN.
