A biography of Colonel Wilbur Fisk Sanders is included in "Montana, Its Story and Biography", Vol 3, pages 956 & 957.

Wilbur was born, 2 May 1834, Leon, NY, son of Ira and Freedom (Edgerton) Sanders, natives of Rhode Island and Connecticut, respectively.

On 27 Oct 1858, Wilbur F. Sanders married Miss Harriet P. Fenn, of Tallmadege, OH, daughter of Joseph and Nancy (Caruthers) Fenn. Sanders children: James U., Wilbur E, Lewis P.

Colonel Wilbur F. Sanders died 7 Jul 1905, Helena, MT.
