My grandfather Raymond E Sanders, JR. married my grandmother Irma Lee Rollins between in 1948-1950 I think in the month of May. I am having trouble locating the exact date and place. The story in the family is that they took a bus to another state (Mississippi, Alabama . . .) to avoid the waiting period.
The two lived in Selma, AL, raised their nine children there and are now buried there.
Any info you might have would be helpful.
