I am not sure, this is what I know: Lucinda Sanders was born abt. 1780 in South Carolina. She married William Barrett also born abt. 1780 in South Carolina. Her uncle was Jacob Sanders, he was a land owner and owned slaves. Her father would have died bet. 1820-1832. He freed one slave (Rube) for saving his life, this slave went to Indiana to have Lucinda sign papers after her fathers death.. William and Lucinda moved to Tennessee in 1804 then in 1817 moved to Gibson Co, Indiana. She died after 1850.

I really would appreciate any leads you might have.

Thanks,
Helen
