Obituary for Herman F. Sanders of Central, South Carolina

Herman F. Sanders
CENTRAL, SC - Herman F. Sanders, 86, of 218 Sanders Road died Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Oconee Medical Center.
Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Roy and Audrey Simpson Sanders. Herman worked most of his adult life with Cannon Mill in Central and retired after 41 years of service. He was a US Army veteran having served in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. He was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church. He was also an avid golfer and a former member of Oconee Country Club.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Frances Lacey Sanders of the home; two sons, Ronnie Sanders and wife, Louise of Westminster, SC and Mike "Smiley" Sanders and wife, Becky of Central; sister, Louise Campbell of Easley; grandchildren, Bobby Sanders and wife, Samantha, Ed Sanders and wife, Ashley, Lacey Sanders and Clay Sanders; 5 great-grandchildren Tant, Bryce, Braelyn, Landon and Sloan Sanders.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Wednesday at Trinity Wesleyan Church with Rev. Don Milstead officiating.
Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Central.
The family is at the home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association .
Condolences may be expressed online at or at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central.
