Major Sanders is my line. He moved from TN to Searcy County, AR about 1838-39 and died soon thereafter (abt. late 1840 or early 1841. He can be found in the Searcy Co., AR census in 1840, but his name is misspelled Magor. His widow moved to Lawrence Co., AR before 1850 and she (Frances) and remaining children at home are listed there. After that she disappears along with the youngest son (also named Major). Suppose they must have died. The rest of the family are living close together in Lawrence Co. A couple of the sons died in the Civil War. I have names of all the children if you are interested. I would love to know for sure who Major's parents were. Believe his father was either James or Samuel, but can't prove it. Also would like to know his wife's maiden name. I think it is possibly Mauldin, but I can't prove that either. Would love to share information since I seem to have hit a brick wall. Beverly
