Catherine Sanders, Wright Co, MO (b. ca 1852)
Posted by: Cynthia Davison (ID *****0654) Date: July 25, 2014 at 12:29:15

Looking for girls on 1860 census around the age of 5 in Wright Co, MO. who's name matches the initials C.S.

WHY:
In 1870 Hartville, Wright Co, MO census grandpa Joseph Gray is married to a C.S. Gray (age 14 but this age could be wrong) We have no idea what C.S. stands for or what her maiden name was. They had a daughter in 1873 - Mary Francis. On the 1880 census Joseph is married to another woman. Family believes C.S. died in childbirth. That is why I am searching 1860 census for girls in the area who's name matches the initials C.S. the S could be a middle name or a maiden name - you never know what can pop up on a census)

On 1860 census Wright Co, MO there is a Catherine Sanders, 8 yrs old = b. ca 1852. DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS CATHERINE AND WHO SHE MARRIED? If so then I could rule her out as C.S. if it's not her.

The family says Sanders is a familiar name but there are a ton of Sanders in that area.

Thanks
