Hi gretta,
The Rev. Moses Sanders is an ancestor of mine.Idid not have the names or any information about his siblings... please share any info you have about Isaac and others.
According to my Records the Rev. Moses Sanders came from Wiltshire England in the early 1760s along with some other family members.I have not been successful identifying them.Rev. Moses was about 20 years old when he came to Virginia. He married Sarah "Sallie" Hamilton, a Virginia girl. After spending a few years in Virginia he moved with his family to Iredell county North Carolina, then on to Laurens county South Carolina, and finally to Franklin County, Georgia. He was a Baptist minister, and preached in each of these places where he lived, and established several Baptist churches in Georgia.
His tombstone reads:
Rev. Moses Sanders
Born
In England 1742
Died 1817
Founder of Grove Level, Nails Creek
And many other Baptist Churches
A soldier of the Revolutionary War
The cross of Jesus Christ my Anchor
