Hi Paul! Thanks for the update! Yes, I think it very possible baby Samuel died, but you are correct that many infants in his position were left with other family to be raised, so perhaps he did remain in England. Probably the Holland claim will continue until his fate is known with certainty. It is always possible that the martyr's widow had other children, that one of these went to Holland, and that a descend from the martyr's wife was erroneously translated later as a descent from the martyr himself.I have been wondering when the claim for this Holland line was first made, but have not been able to find a descendant who knows. Most seem to ignore the claim as probably not accurate. I have only run into it online in one family and haven't heard back from him yet where it came from. I think I will post that question on its own and see if anybody has an idea where it originated. Any way, thanks for the corrections and new information! Very much appreciated! (of course, you are right about his birth location. I was copying from a very old file that was not corrected.) Best, Kate
