Sandersons in North Dakota - Grain Silo/Elevator
Our family history as recalled by my aunt Eleanor Joyce Sanderson and father Thomas George Sanderson includes a story about my great grandfather Thomas Milton Sanderson and his brother owning a grain silo/elevator or something of the like. It was said that they lived next door to each other for nearly 30 years yet did not get along and never spoke. In accordance with this information, this grain silo or elevator should have been in Minnesota.
Now this story could have been misconstrued as my great grandfather actually worked for the Railroad in Minnesota and the grain silo could have been owned by his father and uncle in North Dakota. I cannot find any records of a silo/elevator owned by a Sanderson in either state.
I have found record of my great grandfather moving from North Dakota to the Kelly Lake area of Minnesota by way of the census and have traced forward to myself. However, going back has proven to be most difficult.
If anyone can help me find this alleged silo/elevator, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm quite new to this and don' know all the tricks of the trade so to speak... thanks!
