I have been looking for the parents of Austin Sandridge who was born c 1777/78 Married Sarah Thurmond d/o Benjamin and Nancy Carr Thurmond 12 Aug 1799 Albemarle Co., VA died 1829 Albemarle Co., VA for almost 20 years. I am going to try another approach. Austin and Sarah had 6 children: Benjamin T. Sandridge b. c 1818 m. Isabella E. Mundy 21 Dec 1838 Albemarle Co. d. 1871 Columbia, MO. I have that Benjamin and Isabella had 9 children. There were several Sandridge families who went to MO. There must be descendants from Benjamin and Isabella. The rest of Austin and Sarah's children were girls - Malinda B. m. Henry J. Price 18 Dec 1839. Nancy P. m. William P. Wilkerson 6 Jan 1825. Susan G. m. Edward Gilbert (my line)5 Jan 1821. Sarah A. m. Ambrose H. Wilkerson 3 Jan 1831. Mary Ann m. Bently Brown 20 Apr 1829. All marriages were in Albemarle Co., VA.

Now I know that many people think Austin's father was Stephen Sandridge b. 1752 m. Sarah Henderson 1773 d. 3 July 1821 Franklin Co., TN but I cannot find any proof of this. Stephen did have a son, Benjamin, who m. Mary Elizabeth Martin c 1820 in Franklin Co., TN. Benjamin was born in Franklin Co. abt 1798. Does anyone have any ideas, suggestions, etc. regarding Austin (whose middle initial was G. (as in Graves??))? Thanks.
