Thank you for the information, I may have some additional
to add
Is William S. Lane in your post the same
as William Sandridge Lane and if so did he marry
Nancy Haden,d/o John M.Haden.
I have the following as children of William S.Lane
and Nancy Haden:

John Haden Lane m. Lucinda B. Shepherd
Mary Ann Lane m. William H.Jones
Elizabeth Lane b. abt. 1807
George Lane b. 1805 m.Eliza W. Flanagan

from other persons additionally

Eliza W. Flanagan and George Lane moved
to Alabama and there they had a dau.
Frances( Fannie) A.M. Lane who returned to
Fluvanna with the family and married a
Edwin N. Cosby( a widower from Louisa)
Fannie Cosby and Edwin were neighbors of
my JOhn Walker Pace family and in 1900
Fannie was living with them as a boarder.
My mother ( Vera Walker Pace b. 1893)
always called her "Aunt Fannie Cosby"

A deed to the property of my Pace family
in Fluvanna says it joins the property
of Richard Lane( where does he fit in?)
