Hastings Sandridge, white slave owner, had a child with a black slave known as "Eliza," possibly "Eliza Brown." Their daughter, Jenny Brown b. 1857 d. 1946, married Jerimiah Trotter b. 1850, d. ?
Their child, Effie Trotter, married Walter Harrison Mason. Their child, Willie Atwood Mason b. 1900, d. 1958, married Alean (Adlean?) Jackson. Their son was Gilbert R. Mason Sr (The first Biloxi NAACP President), father of Gilbert R. Mason Jr., Adam Mason, and David Mason.
