Thomas Hastings Sandidge was the great grand son of william, and grand son of Stephen and son of Benjamin Thurmond Sandidge who died in Franklin COunty Tennessee prior to 1850 and after 1840.His son Thomas Hastings was born the 29 Dec 1819 in Franklin COunty Tennessee and he died 28 Dec 1881 in
Raymond, Hinds County, Mississippi..

Hastin Martin Sandidge was the great grand son of William as above and the grand son of Stephen and son of John Sandidge who died ossibly in Scott County, Virginia. Hastin Martin and Thomas Hastings Sandidge were first cousin..Hastin Martin was born abt 1808
in Albemarle County Virginia and died in
November 28, 1885 in Scott County Virginia.

I know of any other Hastings Sandidge/Sandridges that are of the agae to be the grandson or the great grandson of William Sandidge and Sarah Henderson...

Because of the name Hastings in serted in this line of the Sandidges, I have often
wondered where the name might have come from. Have even checked wills to see if there is the possibility that Sarah Henderson's grandparents might have been a Hastings..but I have never found anything supporting the idea...It does seem strange though that Stephen would have two grandsons named Hastings and the name not be a family name....

Good luck on your genealogy...JCM
Hastings
