Bill, I'm working on SA(U)NDERS lines ~ not SANDIGE or SANDRIDGE... but, the Nimrod SAND(R)IDGE in Marshall County, Alabama 1860 was the same Nimrod who married Francis DONALDSON. After Francis died, in August 1858, he had married Elizabeth SA(U)NDERS SMITH, the widow of Tilman SMITH, there in Franklin County, Tennessee.
I believe shortly after their marriage, Elizabeth's mother died. This would have been Annis "Annie" DANIEL SA(U)NDERS, Elizabeth's father, William, had died about 1843. Also, her grandfather, John, had recently died there in Franklin County... so, Elizabeth and Nimrod moved to Marshall County near Hillian's Store, along with Hardy Holman SA(U)NDERS and his spouse, Catherine Anne CLAMPET, either in late 1858 or 1859.
Then, after Elizabeth died in about 1865, believe Nimrod later married a TERRELL lady there in Marshall County and had more children. I do not know if there were any children by Elizabeth; do you?
