This is a bit late (!) but I am only now starting my research.
To my knowledge, Jane Taylor was indeed born in Cork, Ireland and she and her husband (I wasn't sure if he was named John or Robert) Sangster crossed the Atlantic on a sailing ship. Their son Robert Sangster (apparently one of several children)was born at sea, according to our family stories. In Ontario Robert Sangster married Laura Ann Rusnell (surname anglicized from Rossignol)and they also had several children, one of whom was yet another John Sangster. This was my great-grandfather who went by the nickname Jack. Some of Jack's siblings were Frank, Albert, Walter, Alexander, Harriet and Edith. The families lived in Stouffville and Uxbridge.
My great-grandfather married Jane Hamilton and they came west to what would, in 1905, become the province of Alberta, arriving 1899 and homesteading in what was then known as the Conjuring Creek district.
I would very much appreciate any further information on Jane Taylor and the Sangster to whom she was married.
I have pictures of Jane Taylor and her husband, and I gather from reading earlier posts his name was John Alexander Sangster.
