There was a WILSON SANTEE in MO., in the Military, but I cannot remember if it was the Civil War?
I wonder since the family of Rachel Santee, abt 1800, lived with William Santee,1813,in Ad Co., Ohio, I have read here they were NOT marr.(wonder if they were bro and sister?)Rachel and Daughter Margaret DeAtley traveled to Platt Co. Mo. maybe there was connection to this WILSON SANTEE. to the ones in Adams Co., Ohio.
I am thegr grandaughter of Wm.Santee,Rachel, who lived with Wm was listed as Black on the census. daughter, Rachel Jane Santee Honn/Horn,1840,Elizabeth Margaret C. Honn/Horn.1853-1863-(Margaret spoke only broken English.)
Any comments welcomed. Also, they were connected to Samuel Shoe/Shew, and wife Leathering, in Mo. Thier was a Ruben Santee that had passed and his wife was Rachel (???)unknown maiden name)Santee
