Wow Mark you sure do know alot about the Santillan's. Anyways my name is Magaly. My dads name is Santillan, I've been trying to track down my family tree for the longest. I dont know where to start and how to begin. I would like to track it all way back to Spain. You heard about the story of the 6 or is it 7 brothers who left spain to the new world. I'm just wondering if maybe those were the guys who spread out and started santillans in mexico, south america, phillipines. who knows? maybe cause of them were here. my grandfathers name was Juan ., my dad only met him once, he lived in Iquitos,Peru. my mom told me that he has other brothers, and that one of them had alot of kids. my dad told me when he went to iquitos he found some uncles and family over there. its funny cause my dad is the only short one in our family that his family in peru were tall , huge men. i read someones post up before about how the santillans in spain were big, tall and fair eyed, maybe thats were they get it. well anyways can u please help me by giving me ideas how to start. Its hard for me to track down my family when i have no backbone to hold me up.
