Seeking information on the ancestries of James and Ellen (Woodhouse) Sergeant/Serjeant. They lived in Scorton Lancashire in the late 1820's (and probably Dolphinholme) and ended up in Bradford (Bowling) Yorkshire by the 1850's. James was Catholic, born in Scorton in 1799, the son of Richard and Julian (Yates) Serjeant. Ellen Woodhouse was a Dissenter (ie. not Church of England), born in Ellel in 1803, dau. of John Woodhouse.
Serjeant children born in Scorton: John b. 1827; James b. 1829; Thomas b. 1831, m. Frances Howarth in Bradford Yorks.
