Warmest greetings. May this letter find you well, and in good spirits!
My name is Armin, and I am an architect. I practice it, I teach it, I am also very active in the architects' professional organization in our country (the UAP). From the small start we seem to be having at this forum, it would appear that indeed, Sarthous can be found all over the world. In the Philippines, we're quite a clan, although we haven't been seeing much of each other lately. Come to think of it, we really should organize ourselves better.
I just saw your message, Emmanuel, and that which was posted by Jennifer, whose father hails from France. I know for a fact that in Argentina, there is a shipping company that goes by the same name. My brother Armand just migrated to Australia where he found cousins, so it would seem that Sarthous are well-established in Melbourne as well. I also have cousins in the U.S. West Coast, particularly in San Francisco. My aunt, Teresita Sarthou, married Manuel Abad, Jr., so my Sarthou cousins there go by the name of Abad. Or, more accurately, Sarthou-Abad.
With this growing wealth of information, we really should get started on a world-wide directory, Emmanuel. Perhaps it would do us all a world of good (pardon the pun) if we all get connected, possibly in a more formal way. Strength comes in organization, and I imagine that the Sarthous worldwide have already been able to build considerable clout in their own spheres of interest.
Tell me about your ideas. Perhaps we can start with an e-group? If you're all interested, drop me a line here and let me know. We may yet be able to put together a grand reunion on a worldwide scale. That should be quite a sight to behold.
Please post your messages here, no matter how short they may be, so we know you exist. My sister Isabel is a whiz at keeping track of names, birthdates and other important life data.
We'll all be waiting for your feedback.
