I know we don't want to discuss certain things in our family trees.
However, I am trying to get info on my family line.
A member in my family tree is believed to be the illegitmate daughter of Dr. Frederick Sasscer of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.Born before he married Rosalie Ghiselin.
I don't want to put the name here.But her mother was a butler, believed to have been a maid in the home of Dr. Sasscer.
I am trying to find out the name of the mother and the man who claimed my family merber as his own. They lived in Nottingham, Maryland.
Has any of your family members mentioned this?Or one of the sasscer men bearing a child by his maid.
Dr. Sasscer looked after this family in some ways even tho he did not claim his daughter openly.
When my family member mother died and Dr. Sasscer had also died - my family member lived with the wife of Dr. Sasscer for a while. The wife knew that this was his daughter.
Can you or anyone share some light on this?
I believe my family member is connected to this family below:. Which of the women is her mother I don't know.My family member was born about 1884. The mother could be Julia, Mary, Sarah ---I just don't know????
