Some think SASSER KEENE *may* have been brother to my GEORGE KEENE in johnston Co. who mar Katherine Goodrich... We are trying to ascertain who our George's father was also...
IF SASSER AND GEORGE were in fact brothers, any male Keene from Sasser's descendency (named KEENE) would be a Ydna 'match' to our male Keene's living today. We have males who have done the Ydna test and have had some great results, not only in the US, but worldwide! Will be happy to share with any other male Keenes who are or may be related! Do you know of any MALE 'KEENE's' from Sasser?? If so, he/they SHOULD DO THE YDNA test.. 67 markers preferably, but 37 will do... we did it, my brother and cousins, thru ...
Are you familiar with the George Keene family of Johnston Co also?? George had 4 known sons: George, who remained there, and the '7th George' in a row still resides on the property..., son John, Josiah and my William, all moved to GA...different counties. We have descendants from all 4 sons in our email group and on our Facebook KEENE KIN group... we are working on finding the ancestors of our George Keene and Katie Goodrich, his wife.. we know which part of England they came from, as we have connect3ed thru dna with others around the world, and know where THEY / their ancestors came from... and have 'met' many nice cousins worldwide from the same Keene line...with name variations!
Hope to hear from you!
