I would love to learn more about your Saturday in-laws -they very well could be connected to my mother-in-law.Her mother was Audie Lee Saturday, born in Colquitt County (I believe) to Lee J. Saturday and his wife Lucy Ussery. At some point Robert L. Saturday (father of Lee J.) moved from Dodge to Colquitt County.Audie and her husband Howard Chestnut later moved to Macon, GA.According to my mother-in-law Audie had several brothers and sisters.A few went to Texas, the rest, as far as I know, stayed in Georgia. Some of the brothers names were Milton, Harvey, Curtis and Carter.
As far as background on the Saturday family, I have found very little.I have seen the surname connected with some other surnames that could have become "Saturday" over time, such as Satterly. Most internet searches are fruitless as the search will pull up every document available that has the day of the week in it!
