The records I have show a Henry and Winnie Sauls as possible parents of of my gggrandfather William.Henry has a Dob of1815 and Winnie's dob is 1818.However the records do not show if they are husband and wife or brother and sister? I have a copy of the cenus of Cobb County Ga. from 1850 and it lists William and all of his brothers. however your granny is not listed but judging from the info you have given me I do not think she was born yet. This would mean she must have been very small when her parents passed on.I have quite a bit of info on william and his brothers. Including confederate war records shown him as a pow of the north for a short period of time and date/location of the battle in which he lost his arm. His brother James also suffered a injury which resulted in the loss of part of his leg.My father spent quite a bit of time researching this in the early eighties but always seem to run into conflicting stories because of the children being orphaned. My grand mother tells me that some where there is a letter in his records that was written by william's daughter Alma that has names ofwilliams' parents as well as their parents and lists dates back to the late 1700 's I am in the process of filtering throught dad's notes to try and gain more info My father passed away in 1990 and mom has simply lost track of where the paper work is.Hope this offers some help and I will keep you informed of any further discoveries I come across.
