According to the 1850 census of Macon Co., NC Catharine was the daughter of Wilburn and Matilda Saunders. I'm trying to track the Sanders/Saunders families that came through Macon Co., NC so I would appreciate any information you could offer on her descendants. Here's what I have on Wilburn and Matilda:
1840 Census Census Macon Co., NC p. 149: 20001:-10001:
1850 Census Macon Co., NC TN Valley h/h 272 (my transcription):
SAUNDERS, Wilbourne 40m Farmer Burke Co., NC
Matilda 33f Burke Co., NC
Catharine 13f Macon Co., NC
Albert 11m Macon Co., NC
Thomas 10m Macon Co., NC
Logan 9m Macon Co., NC
Emily 7f Macon Co., NC
Mary 5f Macon Co., NC
1860 Census Macon Co., NC TN Valley/Franklin P. O. p. 481 h/h 182:
SANDERS, William B. 50m Burke Co., NC Farmer 600/400
Matilda 62f Burke Co., NC
Albert P. 19m Macon Co., NC laborer
Thomas A. R. 18m Macon Co., NC lab.
Altha L. G. 17f Macon Co., NC
Emily C. 16f Macon Co., NC
Harriet M. 9f Macon Co., NC
By any chance did Wilburn and/or Matilda or any of the other family follow Robert and Catharine to Indiana?Exactly where in Indiana did she die?
